Your privacy is important to us. This privacy statement explains what personal data StratumChroma processes, how it is processed, and for what purposes.
StratumChroma is a Windows desktop app by PortableCreator that converts images into multicolor 3D models (3MF files) for 3D printing. It runs entirely on your computer. The short version: StratumChroma does not collect, transmit, sell or share any personal data, and it does not connect to the internet.
Personal data we collect
PortableCreator does not collect any personal data through StratumChroma. The app works only with the files you open and save on your own computer, and nothing is sent to us or to anyone else.

- Images you open. When you open or drop an image, StratumChroma reads it from your computer and processes it in memory to produce a preview and a 3D model. Images are not uploaded anywhere.
- Files you save. When you save a project (
.scproj) or export a model (.3mf), the app writes the file to the location you choose. A project file contains copies of the images in it and your settings. - Recent projects list. To show your recent projects, the app keeps a small file in its own app data folder on your computer. For each project it stores the file's location, the project name and a small preview thumbnail.
- No other data. The app does not collect your name, email address, location, contacts, device identifiers, usage statistics or diagnostic data. It has no user accounts.
How we use personal data
StratumChroma uses the images and settings you give it only to show you a preview and to build the 3D model you ask for, on your computer.

The recent projects list is used only to show your recent projects when the app starts. None of this information is used for analytics, profiling, advertising or any purpose other than the feature you are using.

We do not disclose personal data, because StratumChroma collects none.

How to access and control your personal data

- You can view, move or delete your saved projects and exported models at any time, like any other file.
- You can delete the recent projects list from the app's data folder at any time.
- Uninstalling the app removes its app data folder, including the recent projects list.
Collection of data from children
StratumChroma does not knowingly collect personal data from anyone, including children under 13, because it collects no personal data at all.
Storage and processing of personal data
All processing happens locally on your computer. StratumChroma has no servers and does not store your data anywhere else.

StratumChroma does not send or receive data over the internet. If the app contains a link and you click it, the link opens in your web browser, and that website's own privacy policy applies.
Advertising
StratumChroma does not show advertising and does not use your data for advertising.
Other important privacy information
Microsoft Store
Microsoft handles downloading, installing and updating StratumChroma through the Microsoft Store. Microsoft may collect information such as install, update and crash data under the Microsoft Privacy Statement. PortableCreator does not receive personal data about you from Microsoft through the app.
Changes to this privacy statement
If a future version changes how StratumChroma handles information, for example by adding an optional online feature, we will update this privacy statement and its "Last Updated" date before that version is released.
